How does it work for customers?
A member opens their card and taps to share their link. The friend opens it, joins in a few seconds and sees your welcome offer, such as 10% off their first visit. When the friend comes in, staff scan their card and give the offer; the member's reward appears on their card at the same time.
Why is it given at the till?
So nobody can claim it from home. A friend's offer only counts after a real visit stamped by your staff, and a member can earn invite rewards at most five times a month. That keeps it fair and stops anyone inviting themselves.
Can I run it with or without a stamp card?
Both work:
- With a stamp card: the member gets bonus stamps (2 by default) and the friend a welcome stamp.
- On its own: no stamps at all, just two offers you write, one for the friend and one for the member.
What makes a good offer?
Something worth sharing that still pays for itself: a percentage off the first visit for the friend, and the same or a small free item for the member. Cafés often give a free drink, salons a discount on the first service, shops a fixed amount off a bill above a minimum.
