How much does a QR code menu cost in India?

A QR code menu in India costs anything from nothing to a few thousand rupees a month. A free generator costs ₹0 but can't be edited properly; a dedicated menu tool usually charges a small monthly fee; a POS system bundles the menu into a bigger plan. Tapmore costs ₹400 a month or ₹3,999 a year, everything included.

The four kinds of QR menu, and what each costs

Prices change often, so compare what you get rather than the headline number:

KindTypical costGood forWatch out for
Free QR generator pointing to a PDF or image₹0Trying the idea for a weekHard to update, slow on phones, no sold-out marks
Free menu maker with a page you keep₹0, often with the maker's branding or limitsA small menu that rarely changesLimits on items, edits or how long the page stays up
Dedicated menu and loyalty toolA small monthly or yearly feeMost cafés, restaurants and shopsFeatures sold as add-ons, per-table pricing
Restaurant POS with a QR menu includedA larger monthly feePlaces that want billing, kitchen tickets and orderingPaying for billing features you don't use

Costs people forget to count

The subscription is rarely the biggest cost. Count these too:

  • Printing: table cards, stickers or stands. Printing once is cheap; reprinting after every price change is not, which is why the code must open an editable page.
  • Your time: how long it takes to change a price, mark a dish sold out or add today's special. A minute in the tool beats an hour with the printer.
  • Per-table or per-QR fees: some tools charge for each code, so a 20-table restaurant pays far more than a 4-table café.
  • Add-ons: loyalty cards, feedback forms and review tools are often sold separately.
  • GST on top of the listed price, where it applies.

How to work out whether it pays for itself

Divide the yearly cost by the days you're open. Tapmore on the yearly plan costs ₹3,999, about ₹11 a day. If the menu, the loyalty card and the review invitations bring back one extra customer a day, or save one reprint a year, it has paid for itself.

The numbers that matter are the ones you can see after a month: how many people scanned, how many joined the loyalty card, and how many Google reviews came in compared with the month before.

Questions to ask before you pay

Ask any QR menu provider, us included:

  1. Is the price per business, per table or per QR code?
  2. Is GST included or added on top?
  3. Which features cost extra, such as photos, more than one menu, loyalty or reviews?
  4. What happens to my page and printed codes if I stop paying? Do they stop working, or show an advert?
  5. Can I try everything before paying, without a card?
  6. Can I cancel any time, and is there a refund for unused months?

What Tapmore costs, plainly

₹400 a month or ₹3,999 a year for each business, with every feature included: menu or price list, photos, specials, loyalty card, refer a friend, private feedback, Google review invitations and replies, and Wi-Fi. There are no per-table or per-code fees. Every business starts with a 7-day free trial, no card needed, and pays by UPI, card or netbanking.

If you stop paying, the page pauses and shows customers a polite note. Nothing is deleted, and the same printed codes work again the moment you subscribe.
